Idea is conceived
The idea that vitamin D is linked to risk of developing type 2 diabetes is conceived by Dr. Pittas. In 2002, Dr. Pittas enrolled in a Master’s degree program at the Tufts University Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. His final project for the Introduction to Clinical Care Research summer course (that takes place in July) was to test the idea that vitamin D is linked to risk of type 2 diabetes.
