Daniel HsiaSite Principal Investigator – Daniel Hsia, MD | Dr. Hsia received his B.S. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his M.D. degree from Albany Medical College after completing the 6 year Accelerated Biomedical Program.  He went on to complete a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA and then a dual fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX.  After completing fellowship in 2012 he returned home to Louisiana and joined Pennington Biomedical Research Center.  He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Joint Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism Program.  Dr. Hsia is active in patient care, teaching, and clinical research. His interests are in studying novel and safe therapies that can be used in the prevention and treatment of obesity and diabetes throughout the lifespan.
